I don't post regularly, but I totally disagree and could not let this go unsaid. Now, I don't know the person that was attacked and I don't know the person that made these comments. My post is not made with favoritism in any direction.

But in any basic high school journalism class, if the remarks above were made in response to the stated article, the student would get a big fat "F".

a) There are many boerboels in America that weigh right at or below 100 pounds at MATURITY. The name of the boerboel marketing game in the USA is "bigger is better". Just because some people choose not to post accurate weights on their dogs doesn't mean that 100 pound boerboels do not exist - it just means that either someone believes everything that they read on websites as fact or they haven't been around long enough to see a small boerboel in real life.

b) The article did not state the age of the dog. This dog could have been a puppy. To assume that the dog was not properly fed is an absolutely ridiculous assumption and is not based in *documented* fact whatsoever.

c) Abuse ("absolute hell") is the only thing in this breed that equals bites? Seriously?! You must be kidding or living with blinders on. There are UNSTABLE dogs in this breed everywhere you turn. Some are documented on websites, forums and in newspapers...but most meet their maker silently and without fanfare. It sickens me that you can allege that a dog was put through "absolute hell" without knowing ANYTHING about the dog, its owner, or the situation that it lived in. Another hard-core assumption *without documented fact*. There are many silent parties here that attest to the real facts - and that is that in some cases there are boerboels that are absolutely unstable WITHOUT provocation or abuse.

d) You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself for saying someone "got what he deserved" when you know ZERO facts about what transpired. Your assumptions and harsh talk do this breed NO justice. It is a sad state of affairs when someone that claims to be a reputable breeder comes into a public arena to swing accusations around like they are trivial! How you have chosen to trash someone that you know absolutely nothing about based entirely on your own wild INTERPRETATIONS of a tiny article without any basis in documented facts really sucks.

And those are my opinions. Open your eyes folks. Don't believe everything that you read, don't be afraid to ask questions before coming to a conclusion and certainly lead with your mind and not with your tongue.
