Subject: Best thing to use to keep dog from chewing or biting things..

I would like to know what some of you have used to prevent your dogs from chewing on things outside. It is not my boerboel that is doing it. It's a smaller mix dog we have. She chews on plastic bubbler sprinkler heads, hoses & so on. We bought some bitter spray but after a weeek or so she chews still. Any home remedies that wont harm her? I have heard of some useing vaseline with sour tasteing things added to it or even hot sauce added to the vaseline. I dont know that I would try the last one. Anyone?
