Yes, if you get someone who trains these dogs by "beating them down" spiritually... YES... it can cause dogs to become hot button dogs. I've seen it many times in Pit Bulls, GSD's, Doberman's and even in the Dogue de Bordeaux.

Such training methods have to be specialized for the dog and it must be done by someone experienced who is not physically harsh in the training.
And sadly, there are ALOT of trainer who beat these dogs with batons to make them more "hot".
That will make them also very aggressive.
