You said "In the Dogue de Bordeaux, if you hit them, you will see their anger flair. And I know it's that way for alot of Mastiff type breeds."

Interesting...so now "gently seperating" is hitting?

If all five dogues present were euthanized due to simply being related and not being involved, doesn't that say a lot more about the GENETIC TEMPERAMENT of these dogs instead of any ill-concieved training they've received? ESPECIALLY since one was only a couple months old and there's no way it had seeen any training at that point.

Here's the other article that's still out there.

Jynnie Kent was attacked by her grandma's French Mastiffs.

Girl, 11, badly mauled by dogs

May lose leg and will require extensive plastic surgery

ANDREA HOUSTON
STAFF REPORTER

A Pickering girl lost three pints of blood and is in danger of losing her
leg after she was attacked by two dogs at her grandmother's house in
Uxbridge.

Jynnie Kent, 11, was outside playing alone around 5 p.m. on Sunday when she
saw two of her grandmother's French Mastiffs playfully fighting, police
said.

Jynnie, an animal lover, tried to gently separate the dogs, police said, but
they turned and began attacking her instead.

Hearing her screams, Jynnie's grandmother ran to her rescue but before she
could intervene, the dogs had caused the child irreparable damage.

"They weren't just biting her, they were eating her," said her father, Clark
Kent. "They ate much of her skin right off. Right down to the bone."Jynnie
was rushed to Lakeridge Health Centre and later airlifted to the Hospital
for Sick Children with life-threatening injuries and was listed in serious
but stable condition.

She had suffered more than 150 puncture wounds all over her body and lost
three pints of blood. Doctors operated for eight hours and concluded that
she will be lucky if she doesn't lose her right leg, Kent said.

"They are attempting to put a new artery into her leg, but it's iffy," he
said. "One thing is for sure, if she lives, she will need a lot of plastic
surgery, and she will undoubtedly be severely scarred for life."
Police say Jynnie is still in very serious condition.

"This is one of the most serious dog attacks we've seen," said Sergeant Paul
Malik of Durham Region police.

The dogs are in quarantine, their fate not yet decided.

"We don't think we will be pursuing any criminal charges with this case, but
we are still investigating," Malik said.

Jynnie's grandmother couldn't be reached for comment.

Growing up, Jynnie was surrounded by animals.

For as long as her dad can remember she has wanted to become a veterinarian
and work with animals.

The dogs, Traveller, 2, who weighs 120 pounds and Warrior, 1, weighs 110
pounds, belong to Jynnie's grandmother who breeds the Mastiffs in her
backyard.

Jynnie's grandmother is the mother to Kent's ex-wife, Shelly. They share
custody of Jynnie. Kent said Jynnie always looked forward to visiting her
grandmother because she liked to watch her take care of the new puppies.

"This is the worst thing that could have happened," Kent said. "I feel like
my world is crashing in on me."

Doctors said they're not sure how long Jynnie will have to remain on a
respirator.
