Wow! I've found some pretty interesting info about inbreeding depression, COI, and favorite sire syndrome. Some of it was scary! Could this be why we are seeing the designer breeds? I was so excited about getting my dog from Dopper now I am reconsidering and time is running out. Incest breeding was used in game pits and produced some champion dogs. Wasn't Corma Buks a champion? His progeny are high scoring and foundation dogs for many kennels. Does anyone know about any genetic defects he may carry? I am sure with this level of incest breeding some genetic defects will surface? If any body knows what are the potential risk involved with the Shumba/Gersome puppies?
