Andrew as you are aware that is not the point as all dogs then and now no matter how they are bred have the potential for a genetic issue. What gives that potential to become a reality is by tight/line/incest breeding, the recessives have a much better chance of linking to a like recessive thereby expressing themselves as a genetic disease. Most breeders breed tight either on purpose or they have little choice or they are just to damn lazy, very few cull the results. Otherwise very good post. Regards Norman
