Though Dan's delivery might have put you off, he's probably right with his assessment.

Male Boerboels can be very innocuous in the way they go about expressing their dominance. He had no control over the situation and was out of sorts because you guys weren't home to love on him and pay attention to him and keep HIS schedule, so he just reacted.

Due to the training and care he's received, he has an nice set of manners developed but he's still a male Boerboel and he's still going to behave in a dominant fashion at times.

It's not that you've done anything wrong but in the future, if you think your evenings might run a bit late, just keep the bedroom door closed :)
