As a pup he will be in the basement, but as he grows up and the weather gets nicer he will stay out there for the most part. I also plan on buying a big heavy horse mat for outside his box as a pad to lay on. If necessary I can put a layer of wood chips on the cement to protect his feet. Or will this make his feet tough and it is better to leave the cement alone?
