I'm lurker but this question deserves my minimal experience. I so totally agree with Dan and wished I could have come up with such a perfect personality description/trait. I think your dog is going to be very unhappy to be so far from you and what he/she will consider his pack. When we let my dog out to do her busines, she will not stay far away from the door, and will whine first, then the woof bark and if that does not get our attention the full 'let me in' bark. Hopefully you live in an area where you don't have neighbors very close to you because they will complain. She is still under a year, and has been that way since we brought her home. Best of luck
