From what I have seen and heard, there may be some serious issues with your dog. You definitely need to seek a very good trainer in your area who can actually help evaluate your dog.

What I have learned and heard from anyone who I have ever known with a Boerboel is that these dogs have a natural aversion against hurting a child. I have been told by breeders that while any adult trying to enter their house would probably not even think of coming through the gate, that in most cases owners feel that their Boerboel would not even protect their property from a strange child. Which is a good thing.

My understanding of a correct Boerboel temperament is that normally they are LESS likely to test a child or to try to declare dominance over them, one of the things that makes this breed great. There are some real concerns if dogs are popping up with just the opposite behavior. Have to admit it is very good reason for concern.

Maybe some of the people on this board can help you in finding a trainer in your area who has experience with this breed. With this type of natural temperament in your dog, I would hope that breeding him is not in your future plans.
