Just shows if the pup is going to be nervous or scared and needs some confidence building or if the pup has agressive streak in it and can be worked with.

Its not a definate test of will or temperament in any pup, just gives you an idea of what the pup is like.

Now if it was a heeler, I'd want to check its drive as far as herding goes. Put it with some goats or sheep. let it chase a rag see what intrests it. if its scared and wants to run, well.. probably not going to be the best dog for the job. but can be worked upon if needed.
