Not a Boerboel , but this is how i tested my first Cao de Fila de Sao Miguel ( Azores Cattle Dog)they are supposed to be able to deal with nasty & normal cattle) @ 5 months.:

Thia all took place in an enclosed pen :

He is on a long line for his own safety. The line comes off later.:

He gets kicked, thrown 20 feet , across the pen. Shakesd it off, after having moved 16 of the 17 cows to another pen, thru a gate, went on got the other cow , behind a round bale in a corner , staand - off, grabbed cow by the forehead ( took fur off ) then grabbed her hock , & herded her in the other pen & sat at gat. No commands, all natural ability.( temp ) for what it was designed for.

Hard to see but he sat in front of gate.

Since that time he has been tested & judged in the Obedience & protection sports , SA .
