I use a treadmill for my dogs... Ozzy is too big for one, he's a Dane...just tooooo long...his stride is tooo big. But the pit bulls dig it. My Boerboel though HATES the thing... But usually when I'm working towards a show or something we run for 15minutes. I don't go a certain distance but it's usually a jog, run and jog again finishing off with a walk. I haven't been able to find it this winter...it's under all kinds of crap in our garage but it worked pretty well last summer on days where it was too hot to take bike rides with the dogs during the day and too dark at night. I'd put up there on the treadmill. This year I doubt I'll use it till winter though. Actual running does better as far as building tone and whatnot. But GREAT for getting the "bugs" out...
