Subject: Boreboel Needs Home

SADIE
Born 1/27/2006---2years old, weighs about 110-120lbs
Pure Breed--South African Mastiff (aka... Boerboel)

We got Sadie at 7 weeks from a very reputable breeder in Oklahoma. Her breed is very rare in the US--but known for being a great protection dog and great with families with kids. She was brought up with our other two dogs ( a beagle and Italian greyhound) and seems to get along well with other dogs for the most part.

She has had two eye surgeries to repair entropion in both eyes and now her eyes are beautiful! She has recurrent ear infections and skin flare ups. We took her to the Veterinary dermatologist who told us she needs testing to find out what is causing her allergies and possibly may be on medication for an extended period of time if we cant eliminate what the allergen is. ( we did try countless food elimination diets and were told it is not likely food.)

She is very sweet and playful. She has always been an inside dog, but enjoys to sun bathe and be outside. She is crate trained, uses a doggies door but can also be let out sporadically with no accidents and has limited obedience training. She also rides great in a car and can be easily walked ( although we often have her on a choke collar when out in public so everyone else feels safe.) She loves her "dolly's"( any stuffed toys) and will not chew them up or hurt them--only likes to "mouth" them and use them to greet you when you walk in the door. She has a face that can melt your heart, but a bark than sounds reminiscent to a lion! She is very affectionate and personable. She does like to wrestle with my husband and allows our 20lb Italian greyhound to chew on her. She has been around our baby since he was born and aside from a few over eager licks, she has been very gentle with him. She loves kids and often will whine if she see's them and they dont want to play with her. She is a typical dominant female and any one who has her and other dogs, should probably be familiar with the way the dominance works or familiar with protective breeds. We have a crate and numerous dog beds for her .

We are located in the DFW area. Pls help with pic posting
