you knew Pam's view of working Boerboel's and correct protection work. She wrote the below before she was asked to leave this group.

"think the working Boerboel is soon to be a thing of the past. Not because
of the breeders or the breeding but because of technology. In many places
we don't even use horses to work anymore. We use helicopters to monitor
herds, ATV's to travel ranches and small farms. Sure, if you want to do it
the old fashioned way (nothing wrong) then you might have your dogs and
horses but, in the USA there is so much technology, tracking devices,
emphasis on different types of containment breeding, holding pens, AI and
other things that a working dog here is far to sharp and to much of a
handful for the average owner. Technology is catching other countries as
well and working dogs that went through natural selection process of being
killed, dying from infection, old age, bad pregnancies are now being moved
indoors, looked after by vets and as heir owners standard of living
improves so does the dog. This is the natural order of things. When we were
running around in skins our pets had better step lively or be eaten in hard
times, no we make a sport out of teaching our pets to eat us". and this

"But the truth is people now want pets. The
overwhelming majority do not want a dog they have to maintain or that might
really want to bite someone because they don't want the liability. In
today's world I can't blame them"

Enough said. As I said in my post she is not ashamed to show how little she knows. Norman
