If you are saying testing is required to validate the protective instinct and the proper response required to be breed worthy I agree, but on the other hand, if this is a protection breed, and we are working hard to preserve this protective guarding ability...not to be used...what is the point??

If I subscribe to testing, it is not from a philosophical desire to preserve the true Boerboel temperament...it is to have a capable, trained, and reliable protection dog.
To do otherwise I may as well join ranks with the sabt or God forbid...those poor souls headed for the AKC and just forget about temperament testing altogether.
