Subject: Prey is great, but it has it limits

Prey drive can be exhausting resulting in a response being unreliable. You can't "trian for every situation."

One doesn't need and SHOULDN'T train in pure defense either.

But balancing the drives is essential for a true PP dog...as a real PP dog must be reliable, committed, and not distracted.

When you do this, you will end up with a reliable dog that doesn't notice the environment. And, when done right the dog is still totally safe and stable.
