As I understand it, you've got a year-old female, who's sociable, happy and confident. My 2 cents for what it's worth - count your lucky stars and give her another 12-18 months and then think about what training you might need.

BTW the absolute friendliest, most sociable female Boerboel I've ever met is my dog's mother. As an introduced guest, she's a love-bug.

If you walk into her owner's back garden when the kids are there and the owners are not, she will put you against the fence and, yes, she will take it further if she has to. She's protected on and off their property.

You need to be patient - your dog is still a puppy.
