I have a different version I made at home (to mess with pups on) that is a chunk of plywood that rests on an "X" of 2"x4" (each piece is probably a foot long & it rests on the 2" edge). It's much more stable than the hanging one (in the video) & she has had lots of practice walking on, sitting, downing, standing & backing up on it.
That was one of the things that drew me to her as a pup: when I first saw her, she knocked a huge bunch of *loud* metal machine parts & a metal chair over on herself & all she did was sniff at a chunk before climbing (very diesel-like *g*) out the mess & continuing on her way.
She's always been pretty willing to go wherever I indicate to her I'd like her to be..
