>>>"Be forewarned, the words Positive Reinforcement, Luring, and Operant Conditioning are code words for bribing with food. After the first lesson your dog should heel, sit, and down on command. Food bribery creates aggression!!!!"<<<

Bwahahahahahaha! Wish somebody would have told me that years ago, so I could have avoided creating all the aggressive "monsters" that I've had through my house. ***snort***
That conclusion/advice is pretty archaic and ignorant if you ask me. I'm gonna have to go peruse that site for a few more things to snicker at now. ;o)

>>> But I have found that trainers who make statements such as the above for all breed and various temperaments within those breeds are overreaching in validating there methods, whatever those methods are, including mine.<<<

IME, it's the poor trainers (people that call themselves trainers when, in reality, they're not "trainers" at all) that pigeon-hole themselves, their methods and dogs, in general. Dog training is not a one-size-fits-all proposition, as you know, and a closed mind is the quickest way to repeated failures.
Those who say it should only be one way or another...well...they only make it tougher on themselves and the dogs. It's the dogs that I really feel sorry for, though.

>>>The difference is for the most part I let the dog dictate the training method and not try to force mine on the dog. Norman Epstein<<<

That's what made/makes you successful, not only in the actual training, but in the relationships you've had with your dogs (past and present).
You're pretty smart for a real estate broker. >>big grin<<
