 I wore diapers and rubber pants when staying with my grandmother during the summers up through age 15. At home I often but not always wore rubber pants over my underpants. . Sometimes I went back into diapers if my mother got annoyed with my wetting. I always wore diapers when we stayed away from home. When we stayed away from home I also had to carry a rubber pad to put on the bed if the mattress didn’t already have plastic. It was frustrating when I was 17. I’d be dry for several weeks or even a couple of months and then wet again. My mother would then insist that I go back to wearing rubber pants (but not diapers) at night. During college I sometimes stayed over at my grandmother’s house. I was dry by then and didn’t need diapers. I did wear the rubber pants over my underpants for “just in case.”
