Yes, I had been dry for awhile and when I got a bug and stayed in bed mom felt it best to put the diapers in my undies and the rubber pants on. I did wear them to bed for a week after being sick "just in case".

I think the last time I had to wear rubber pants I was in the 8th grade and we went to visit some of my parents friends. Those peole knew that I had rubber pants on in bed but that was no big deal as they had a 4 year old who also had diapers and rubber pants on in bed. The plastic sheet served as a backup to the rubber pants and 2 pair of cotton undies. Yes they knew that to. For a long time I wore Woolworths Pata Cake toddler super rubber pants. Towards the end mom ordered them from a mail order company they were a youth size.

What kinds of rubber pants did you have to wear over the thick cotton pants your mom got for you. Did others know that you had them on?
