Later that summer mom got me some new sheets and pajamas. When she noticed I hadn't used them after a couple of weeks mom asked me if I was afraid I would wet them. I replied that I was. She asked me (very nicely and thoughtfully) if I wanted to try wearing rubber pants again at night. I said yes I thought I would. We went to the medical supply place and she got me several pairs of youth size Kleinert's waterproof pants. She asked about soakers or training pants but they didn't have them.

That night I had new sheets on the bed. I wore the soakers and rubber pants and new pajamas. I couldn't believe how much more confident I felt! I actually voluntarily wore diapers when the soakers were in the wash. Even though I only wet once in a while I had confidence that my sheets would stay dry.
