I was dry (I guess) for a while between age 5 & 7. I lapsed back into bedwetting when I was 7 but was dry again by the time I finished 3rd grade. Then I was dry until I started 6th grade. It was so good. I didn't need diapers or rubber pants or extra underpants or rubber sheets or anything.

I clearly remember my first accidents. I do remember my mother and me putting the plastic on my mattress. Shortly after that I went on my first boy scout "overnight." My mother got me a sleeping bag and made me promise not to wet it. She asked me then if I wanted her to get me rubber pants. Of course I said no. What 12 year old boy would say yes? My wetting continued. On various occasions my mother would get annoyed an make some remark that maybe I should be wearing diapers at night. All idle threats.
