I neither like nor dislike Destiny, but here's my take: a) This is pretty clearly written by Destiny b) The Miss America board cannot "prevent" a woman from placing--that is in the hands of the judges. MAO has gotten winners in the past that the "board" didn't want, & women with negative media attention before MA have still placed there. Destiny didn't place because the caliber of women there is very high, & she wasn't competitive enough. c) Not knowing the rules is not an excuse for breaking them. Every woman should understand the rules & the contract for the job for which she is applying -- Miss Maryland Talk Board
