When I last talked to you, you said you changed jets from when you were given the carb. Did you go up or down on that change? From my memory(which i've slept since then) your car was on the rich side not the lean side. However with you getting to 190 that tells me it was lean UNLESS the idle circuits are not right. I just remember getting sufficated with E85 fumes when you started it.

How much timing, and how much compression are you running? E85 will run between 8.5-14.5:1. My small motor is only 10-10.5:1. Compression means almost nothing in the ways of ethanol. Your car, especially with it being an open body, should never get near 190 degrees. My car 4 classes back-to-back-to-back-to-back will only get to 170-175 and thats after all 4 passes. I launch mine around 150. At 140 I lose just over a hundreth at 180+ launch heat I will lose 2-3 hundreths but mine won't get near there at idle.

Your carb is slightly different than mine like we talked about at Dallas so my jet size and yours will not be the same with the different metering blocks, only Jim will know what correct jets should be in that carb with those blocks.
