 Peace!

アメリカでもは22日はWinterSolstice(冬至の日)ですけどもすぐクリスマスです。

To Yumi Muraki,
Unfortunately I can't speak japanese very well but what i can say is Konnichiwa and welcome to Alinda Sue's Forum! :)

i had just heard the c/w of Hikari naki yoru wo yuke. Titled "Kaze to ki to hikari no machi de" and i must say i am deeply impressed! The last Humming bird song is so nice! i am very suprised at how it is not found on Happy Birthday Anthology CD. :(

If anyone is interested in this CD, you can order it from hmv.co.jp.

Random good boy is a really nice song. Even though i don't understand japanese much, i still love Chie's and Yoshiki's songs a whole lot! It's safe to say that i will probably never stop liking there songs!

Happy christmas Yumi Muraki, and everyone else of course!

Hello, Chris :)

Thanks for the praise! It really brightened my day.:)
I appologize for the delay in answering. It's been one busy week.

So far from what I've seen, his solo career seems to be a lot like his time with Humming Bird - that is, a wide variety of music utilizing his absolutely amazing range. Do you know about the live video wmv files at Kataoka-san's HummingBird Explosion site? One of the videos is from Humming Bird's final concert, the rest are from solo concerts since then. All are very good! The URL is:

http://homepage3.nifty.com/hummingbird/live/live.html

Speaking of Fukuyama-san's Queen influence, have you heard "Make My Day" from the Hamster Club soundtrack? It sounds a lot like Queen! Fukuyama-san is doing the main vocal with Rui Nagai-san and Fukuyama-san doing the background chorus in layers. It's really cool but it would be hard to duplicate in a live setting. I really enjoy how he handles it live though. Check the link above to see it.

As for Kajiura-san, I heard she recorded one album a few years back. She has a web site, although I believe it's in Japanese only. I'm not on my regular computer right now and can't get to my bookmarks, but I'll post the link later on when I can get to it.

Thanks for coming. I hope to hear from you again. :)
peace

Hi Alinda!! ^_^

It was my absoulte pleasure to write to you & tell you what a wonderful site you have here. It truly is THE BEST Fukuyama site out there & one of my faveorite places on the web.

I have not seen the live files you speak of. Thanx for the link, I will be checking them out tonight. ^_^_^_^_^_^

I have not heard any of the Hamster Club soundtrack, nor any of Fukuyama-san's "Wild Vox" or other solo material, but I really wish & hope to someday.

As for Chie, thank you for the link, I have had it for a while & am glad she updates her site fairly periodically although there seems to be no new info on any musical projects. I've had her "Confusion" album for sometime, & just recently found her way out of print "Loophole" cd , (which I looked for for about 6 years now) at the used cd/manga store "Book-Off" in NYC. Both are very good, & posess mostly new material. ^_^

Thank you for responding to me & please keep up the excellent work. I really appreciate & admire what you do for me and the other Fukuyama-fans out there, it is a pleasure talking with you & visiting your excptional site. ^_^

~Chris

「...and still I fear and still I dare not laugh at the madman...」

peace

I chacked out the Spin Auctions site. As a collector of old records, I find it very interesting... (ah) if only I had some money... (sigh)

A lot of updates on my site yesterday:
Added a couple more song translations to the Yoshiki Fukuyama site. With the help of Shiro-san and my daughters, I'm trying to add at least two or three per week until we catch up... but since none of us are anywhere near experts at Japanese, it can be quite time consuming.
I also added a couple links to that site: a Macross lyeics link on the lyrics page, and Chie Kajiura-san's home page on the links page.

At Let's Talk Music, also added Kajiura-san to the official artists links. To Fun Songs was added a cute song, called "Pages", about reading that I found on an America album. Also in Songs to Ponder was added one of my favorite songs by Queen, "The Prophet's Song". "...but still I fear and still I dare not laugh at the madman..."

I'm afraid with all this activity, the list of My Collection, has suffered. It was supposed to be finished last month, but I appear to be stuck at barely half done. I've pretty much decided that finishing the translations was higher priority. I'll get back to the list when those are done... promise.
I've written enough for now. Your turn. :)
peace

Hi Alinda!
I would just like to thank you for having THE BEST Fukuyama site on the net. I was so surprised when I found it! I have been a fan of Fire Bomber (& shortly after Humming bird & Chie) since 1995. And I can safely say I have NEVER seen a site as informative & as up to date as yours. Most of the small Humming Bird sites disappeared shortly after their disbandment, & I had pretty much given up EVER finding any info on them again...& then I discovered your MAGNIFICENT site. Hosting new info on the band today & now I am eagerly anticipating Fukuyama's next release...I was saddened by Humming Bird's disbandment greatly (beacuse they are one of my fave bands & after FBomber was through I was hoping they would have many more albums.) Also because I felt UNSWEET was the PEAK of their career ^_^ I could only hope it would continue in that direction & I hope that Fukuyama's new solo career will be similar (ie: rockin', Queen influenced, & as solid as ever...)
What ever happend to Chie Kajiura? I have heard that she became pregnant a few years back & has just basically retired & has written a song or 2 for others since then...I miss her greatly as well...
I purchased the MACROSS THE TRIBUTE cd this past weekend in NYC & I have to say that Fukuyama's cover of MACROSS is by far the best song on there (very late-Humming Bird-rock-out senseability!) & I hope that his solo career stays in this direction! It is worth the price of the cd for that song alone. The others are okay (I have met Mari Iijima in person ((NICE GIRL!)) & she covers "Angel Voice" although it is over the "Radio Fire karaoke version" with no "whoa's" at the end & a new guitar solo instead. Also the "Voices" cover is also a sung over karaoke & is too close to the original. Hinobu's cover of "Planet Dance" is okay, as well as the "Love You" & "Do you Remember Love" cover. "Seventh Moon" & "My Boyfriend's A Pilot Now" may be too out-there, or not close enough to the originals for some...Fukuyama's "Macross is by FAR the best. Arigatou Fukuyama-san!
Just wanted to let you know about the tribute disc, but most of all thank you for your wonderful sight and please continue to update it, you do all of us Fukuyama fan's the best service we could ever ask for and you are very much appreciated by this fan. ^_^
Thank you.
Chris

It seems that though it could download, a sound source can't listen to the sound.

Try to download this though it isn't understood whether it has effect.

"Real One Player"

When it is no good, it can't be solved with this with my poor knowledge.

I am sorry.

It tried so that it could listen neatly next time.
Moreover, it tried to increase tunes from the last time.
Mr.Fukuyama who plays the tune of all tune FIRE BOMBER is rare.
It was surprised.
By all means, listen.
Let's FIRE!!

At present, the capacity of my homepage is very the lowest.
Teach to me if you finish listening to the tune.
Because it is replaced with the new tune again if it does so.
