From the land of the Bluenose.....had made arrangements to slum on my first day off at another site and ended up at CFB Shearwater......watching planes and helicopters..um....which reminded me of the news article the other day about a boy out west who was going to get the mail and a helicopter fell on him... bad luck to say the least. God's will I guess!
Go to Sobey's to pick up some supper and the lady at the cashier asks, "Do you have air miles?"
Go a digging at a local park and the first thing I find....an airplane dinkie......um.
Even the walk into the park looks like taxi way "Alfa."
Enough was enough so I retreated to the woods to feed the black flies and pop a few pennies at a place where I could take a seat now and again and enjoy the birds a singing after listening to helicopter engines all day.
Of course my bliss was interrupted on several occassions as jets flew over head starting their decent for landing. Lord love a duck.
An hour and 15 minutes later had the quota and called it a day heading home for my supper after the feeding frenzy buffet that I had supplied. Own fault as I forgot the bug spray.
On the way home I thought I saw the house where Woody Diggit was made
...I mean born with all kinds of wooden dewies in various stages of completion laying about with even an angel hanging off the clothes line!
That bouy has real talent with a chainsaw.......sort of reminds me of a movie I saw some time ago.
Anyway take for the day was another car for the garage, airplane in need of some repair, an earing should I ever get a piercing and 50 coins @$2.67
Can't get away from airplanes!
