Subject: Incubating Pheasant Eggs

I'm currently incubating some pheasant eggs...about 8 of them and I was wondering if there is a good way to candle them. I have a candler that I use for the guinea eggs and it works fine for them, but the pheasant eggs are too dark for me to see much about the development. Is there some easier way? I've read on the internet that they incubate for about 24 days, is that your experience? Thanks for the help!
