We have one group of half-dozen males who free-range year round. And in the coop, a handful of guineas mixed in with my chickens, that have colors I'm trying to keep.

I've done incubator hatches the past 3 or 4 years for local market demand, which is small but lively. Had good hatch rates. However,

This year I had a really poor early incubator hatch. Out of 29 eggs (and an order for 25 keets) I wound up with just two! (And they are males...LOL!) Fellow is willing to wait; I'm not sure I want to run a bator for another month now...

I want chickens to do my future incubating. :)
