I had a girl friend come over last night to help me shave Badger so while we were waiting on Badger to wake up we measured one of my peas for Marion.
First off Lance DID NOT want me to mess with his "girl" He kept strutting around and every time I tried to pick the hen up he would try and jump me. That made my friends eyes get really BIG and she was not about to walk into the pen with me. LOL
I finally convinced Lance I was not hurting his girls just checking them out. Picked up the hen and had to exit the pen so my girlfriend could help measure as she was still NOT going in the pen. LOL
The peahen sat really tame and nice until my GF got the tape measure out that started her flapping and of course she let go a huge hot messy poop which missed me and got my GF I was cracking up but my GF was a good sport and stayed with it.
So here are the measurements as best we could figure as we were really not sure of the interpretation of the questions.
1) distance between shoulder blades is 5½"
2) length of shoulders from top to bottom 4¼"
length of back from bottom of shoulder to where tail starts now this is where we hadn't a clue really so we have two measurements the first is 4¼" and the second is 8¼"
4) the width of back from side to side is 5½"
5) waist all the way around is 17"
6) chest all the way under wings (I was confused so prob didn't do this right) 17½"
Any way Marion if you need anything else let me know and I will try and find another volunteer to give me a hand LOL cos this one GF will NOT be convinced to do it again..
