Glad to hear you are thinking about hatching. I would have thought you would be doing you "house pets" already. I am anxious to hear how they do.

I am ashamed to admit how many I already have hatched. There are over 70 chicks outside and they are hanging in there with heat lights. I probably have that many more inside the hatchin hut. The lavenders have been laying great and I wanted to take advantage of that while I can. Last year they stopped in June for nearly two months. The whites are kicking in now and I still don't have a buff cockerel to get the job done in that variety. Oh well, what would I do with all the buff chicks right now?
