Subject: Peahen attacked by dog

Hello all. It's been a long time since I posted here, but I need some advice from some of you pea experts.

Long story short (hopefully):

Sunday morning a dog got into my coop & got my three year old peahen sitting on eggs. I knew she was a goner. I even managed to find two peahens and bought them. Then today she came home! I couldn't believe it.

Anyway, she's limping & very bedraggled, but I checked her all over, & she nothing is broken. I can't find any deep wounds. She has several skinned spots, & she is missing a LOT of feathers. Seriously, you can see her nubby little naked tail & her entire bare back. But I don't see anything deep or showing signs of infection. I put neosporin all over everything.

Should I go ahead & put her on an oral antibiotic just in case? What antibiotic should I use? Terrymiacin?

Thanks :)
