Subject: Paradise updates

It has been an interesting past few weeks...HOT, COLD, HOT, COLD and now it seem to be cool and hot. I am ready to move all the chicks outside and be done with this inside brooding! LOL I started hatching in early January and have kept it up since then. I want older birds by show season this fall along with knowing the sex and quality so I can pick what I plan to keep and sell the rest.

We have been busy trying to keep the wild critters out of the barn. Eight less coons here along with four cats and one BIG chicken snake!!! Snake got one of the dove who lives in the Pea Palace. I was inside fixing them a nest and couldn't find the hen when I found the SNAKE! It was curled neatly across the 2x4s digesting the dove!!!!!! This has all happen in a week's time and this is either a really bad omen OR just taking care of business early?

I hope all here are having a good season doing what ever it is you plan on. Hatching, planting, or just kicking back and enjoying life. We are doing a lot of that along with slow slow remodeling...retirement suits John a little too good. LOL Me, I am still working to keep remodeling.
