I think this wonderful weather is a major factor with all the critters. We haven't SEEN any snakes here for a couple years. Sara ran over a baby rat snake in the driveway and I saw a HUGE copperhead crossing the road a couple miles up. It has been a nice mild and wet spring and the wild animals love it. I'm afraid there will probably be a boon of babies for them to feed. I have never seen so many rabbits - they are everywhere including my garden, but I think I finally got the little buggers fenced out (lost most of my pepper plants in the meantime). I am personally enjoying this weather - more like spring in Iowa where I grew up.
