Subject: Alive and well also

We're also very busy. We have a 10' x 20' Dutch barn with a 10' x 10' room off of it that we're having renovated. It was built when Vashi started his tv repair business about 22 or 23 years ago, but he quickly outgrew it. It has stood empty about 20 years except for things we had stored there, and we rarely even went into it.

The roof leaked badly, the ceiling and insulation had fallen in, and the critters had a thriving community there. We've had it reroofed and are having the inside repaired. We're also having he skylights and roof on our house redone. Lotsa work!

I'll use the 10 x 10 room for incubating and brooding!

Haven't hatched nearly as many chicks or guineas as usual, but have improved my silkie flock a lot. Still have babes, but most have been mama hatched.
