Well, for the past couple of days she gets right back on the nest after I take the eggs. She gets right off when I touch her gently with a stick, and squeals the whole time she watches me take the eggs. Then she gets back on the nest.

I am thinking that I might give her a few eggs - but still need to collect the extras each day. I have found that pencil marks rub off over time & the eggs get a bit shiny. I am thinking maybe two dark pencil rings around the eggs - maybe then I could tell the new eggs. I would sort of like to promote brooding in the coop. But, the other nest box has a hen w/7 keets.
