You are going to be raising them for ? For eggs or meat or pets ? Are you wanting something hardy that requires less work and worry, are you keeping them in a pen or in a backyard or acreage to free range etc.... Just like dogs there are chickens for different purposes and needs ! My all time favorites for eggs and pets are americaunas, a cross between aracaunas that lay green and blue eggs with american breeds of chuckens, they lay nicely and they tame very easily for pets ! Are you wanting a large heavy chicken that will not be able to fly over fences ? Just let us know and we'll be glad to give our opinions , Brian
