Partner and I hatched 250 pullets and built a pen in the garden to free range pullets all winter and then sell in the spring. So far we have sold all but 18. Now we have hatched out 2nd batch of 250. They are all under 3 weeks old. We will free range them out the back into a yard so that they can't get to the garden when we start planting. They are all heavy egg layer type pullets. I don't know if it is the economy or what but I have soooo many people wanting hens to get a few eggs from. I have folks knocking my door down wanting hens all the time so I decided to capitalize on it. I just started less than 16 weeks ago and have already sold all but 18 and this was winter! Imagine what can be done it the summer. I didn't expect them to sell so fast. Anyway that is the Pullet Project:) Lynette, did you get my Chirstmas guinea card?
