Subject: My chicks are acting like they have Marek's but they are too young for Marek's....

I have several chicks, young, young chicks, under 3 weeks, that are weak in the legs and don't stand up well. They still eat and drink good but like to hang around under the heat lamps. I would say I probably have about 10-12 chicks out of 275 that are acting like this. Any ideas? I don't think it is Marek's as they are so young, and I don't think it is botulism as I have not exposed them to any dead animals of any kind. Hmmmm. I am baffled. I have them on chick starter and antibiotics, I started the antibiotics about 3 days ago. They are not improving but they are not dying either. They sort of waddle around with their legs wide spread. No it is not slipped tendon or spraddled legs. Maybe a vitamin deficiency, but what? I don't think it is coccidiosis as they do not have disintery. I have never used Sumult, is it a sulfa drug? If so, I have used sulfa drugs before but under a different label. Any ideas would be appreciated. BTW, some are hatchery chicks and some are chicks I hatched. They are from differt broods and parent stock so I don't think it has been transmitted via the egg at all. It is something I am doing wrong as some of them are hatchery chicks and some of them are from my layers.
