Our high is so far 18° today - I think I will vasoline again tonight and that way I can check the combs again. I know that I have done this in the past and they did get a bit of frost bite, hence the question about how often.

I did turn on the heat lamp in the coop but it is just in one corner and the most dominant will probably have that corner.

If I have to dub them to show them, I may just show the girls - if, I get anything of quality.
