Subject: Beta testing required for archive-replies

To anyone who has done beta testing. We just did some work on archive replies (relocating them to the main index) and, before we put it online, probably should have it tested. We, of course, tested it ourselves, but nothing beats actual tests from users.

The changes made were in message addition and may affect posts going to the archives as well as the main index. In general, the message totals must have an eye kept on them (which you can view some of the information on at the fid/info/status.html page if you have it enabled).

We're only going to have this beta testing going for the weekend and plan on putting the software online probably Monday evening (unless bugs are found). This means, if there's no help beta testing, we'll just hope our own testing has been sufficient and put it online.

Because the changes we make are for our users, it's nice to have the users who make use of the service have a hand in testing. This testing should be relatively simple, making various posts, replies, etc. and watching the message totals.

Also, keep in mind that relocating a thread from the archive into the main index may expire another already-existing thread from the main index, so you can expect to see this happen.

Any bugs you find, please post here, to the bugs forum, or if you wish, e-mail us (you can put the words "beta test" in the subject so we'll notice it faster if you want). *smile*
