You should be able to do this in the Main Index and Archive configuration area, by setting the Maximum threads or Maximum messages options.

If it's still not working, please let us know. Because VoyForums is constantly evolving, there are periodically bugs here and there which we try to get sorted out quickly.

Sometimes your message database gets "confused" from one of these bugs -- using the Backup & Rebuild option will make a copy of your current messages, then try to clean everything up. You can Restore if you aren't happy with it, but the rebuild usually fixes things up.

(One note: Because rebuild makes a copy of your current messages to a backup, then rebuilds all your current messages, if you do the rebuild, then run rebuild again without restoring in-between, you will have written over your original backup with a copy of the newly-rebuilt messages. Some people have to think about this before they understand what I mean by this. We are probably going to make the backup and rebuild options separate which will solve this problem.)

Lastly, there may be a bug in message rotation which may leave messages in the main index, so please let us know if you continue to have this problem after you have set your archive/rotation settings.

Sincerely,
Brandon
