Subject: HTML not showing up

In the forum head box, I added html codes for graphics; it worked earlier, but this afternoon, HTML not work: i.e.,
(bracket)img src="http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Grid/6511/bub/welcomefish.gif"(bracket) shows up as an "X" on the site, when I am using the correct codes, and as I said, worked earlier today. What is the problem?
