Hi, my name is Brittany, too. I am 18, and have competed in several pageants. The secret is to practice as much as you can. If your pageant is in July, you have plenty of time. It's nice to be liked by the other girls, but you have to remember that they are not the judges. Make sure you feel comfortable in your dress and shoes, and test-run your hair and makeup. Practice walking in your shoes if you are not used to wearing heels. Smile, smile, smile. Even when your jaws hurt and your lips feel like Jell-O. Walk slowly and keep your chin up. Write back, and the best of luck with your pageants!
