Anyone may email me if they like with comments etc. I love the site and this board first and foremost!!! Great that someone out there tells it like it is.
I would also like the "sewing" link :-)

Now for my questions... First on photos - we are in the South and the "glitz" photos always win yet we cannot afford glitz photos. I have one excellent headshot that might be retouchable but I would need to ask the person doing the retouching if that would be possible. Has this ever been done - using a studio headshot that has been retouched and recieving good scores - or are we destined to have terrible scores unless we get the pro shots at 500 or more per session?

Second - and this is a hair question. My hubby is not liking the pageants so we need to do something as glamorous as possible without using anything fake. My daughter is 2 and her hair is very wavy/curly and the shortest part is 2 to 3 inches and the longest is 4 to 5 inches long. It frizzes badly (gets all knotted because of the curls/waves). It is also somehwat thin. What type of hairdo should I do for her?

Third - this is a makeup ?? What salons out there will let you bring in a baby and show you how to do makeup for that child? I do not hardly ever wear makeup (last time was when I got married almost 4 years ago and occasionally a little blush/eyeshadow/mascara) and I would really like to have the best colors for her and learn this myself since we will probably only be doing local/state level pageants.

And lastly - her dress. I have a dress I "like" but not love. I am getting another shell made and I love the colors and it will be made "for" my daughter. I am using a seamstress who looked over a pageant dress and says she can do it but she has only ever made wedding and wedding party dresses. She has been sewing for a very long time and I totally trust her. We are not talking much that I will be out if it goes wrong but do you think that a woman with over 40 years of seamstress experience could make a pageant dress shell and do a good enough job on it? I have seen her "regular" clothes she has made and they are awesome!!!!!

Okay I know this is long enough and want to thank all in advance.
