Subject: Sad news...passing of Dell Atkinson
To all who remember Dell Atkinson...
I just found out last nite thru an email that our dear friend and sister crafter Dell had passed away on the 4th of April, eight days before her birthday. You might remember that she had a stroke about two years ago and that is when she could no longer post here. Even though this is so sad, she is no longer suffering and for that I am thankful.
Her daughter Ashley wrote and told me that it was OK to post about her mom here on the board and to tell others who might have known her online. Wilma found the Obit for Dell and I have taken the liberty to extend the guestbook on line so that others may have have chance to post a note of sympathy if they would like to do so.
Dell was very caring and sharing person to all she came in contact with and and sometimes I cannot believe that she too has left us so soon such as Shirley T. I know the two of them are up in heaven looking down lovingly on us all and probably discussing crafts projects as I type these words :O)

Thanks for the information. I remember her from a card shower request here on the VOY when she first suffered the stroke. Our prayers go out for her family.

I did not know her, but I will certainly remember her family in my prayers. My deepest sympathy for their loss.

You're welcome ladies...I know that there are many gals here who probably remember that Dell loved working with her little preschool kids so much and she used to post quite a bit when she was on the board.
Check out the beautiful poem Caboobie/Yvonne wrote and posted in her Guestbook. Her family will be so touched.

I am so sad to hear about Dell...I thought of her often after she could no longer post here.
She will definitely be missed.
My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out for her family.

in memory of our dear departed crafting friend.

This is sad news...I was actually thinking about her last week while trying to plan a vacation...she had sent me links a few years back about Charleston. She was very helpful to me.

you know, I do remember seeing Dell's name on the board.... guess this is just a good time to let all know that you are cared about and appreciated on the board...
