Carolyn
Is your mop the swiffer or is it the big one that I described in the previous post? Maybe that big thing is called a swiffer too. The kind of swiffer that I am familiar with is the dry one and then there's one that you fit a wet pad on. I've used those at several homes that I used to clean....don't like those either!

I am desperate for an answer in getting the floors right. My little elderly lady does not complain about the floor but I see it. I know that I clean it good. I just don't like how it looks after I put all that muscle and energy into cleaning it. I have to go back to clean Monday so that's why I am needing to get some answers.
Hurray for vinegar and water!
Thanks for you input Carolyn.

I have those awful floors too... GRRRRRRRRRR... trying to keep them clean is a big pain... sorry now I let DH talk me into them.... Oh well there isn't anything I can do about it now... but after our flood and had to have them replaced I found that if I swept them, then took the swiffer dry pads over it and then moped it with the swiffer vingar and water pads it did really good... No streaks and looks great... WHEW... finally after a 15 months of trying I think I have finally found what works... I think since the laminate has sort of groves in it, the dirt gets in there which the dry sheets pick up so when you mop it you are not picking up that dirt.. I hope this helps... I am finally happy with mine and not as much work... Hugs Pat
