I have laminate in my kitchen and have found that most of the cleaners that you spray on and mop do leave a residue. not so much streaks, as a sticky residue that sticks to our shoes.....so white vinegar is what I use. White vinegar will also cut any grease that is on the floor. I have used a regular Swiffer mop, but use a piece of terry towel, or even an old bathcloth instead of the throw-away pad, and it works quite well. But my favorite is a small
regular cotton rag mop...(no nylon or synthetic)....put water and vinegar in a bucket, dip the mop in and ring it as dry as possible and go to it. My floor is always shiny and there is no "sticky" when we walk on it.

I guess there are lots of ways to do this and we each have to try different ideas until we find the one that works best for us.

Hugs,
Claudia

Thanks everyone for your comments.
I KNOW now that I can use Windex or the vinegar and water....tried and true. Plus I will be getting a new mop or will try the towel.
According to the info here I think that the streaks are caused by either or both ~ the type cleaner I'm using and that awful microfiber mop. I will be making some changes for sure.
You all are great to help out when we need help whether it's crafting, rhyming, cooking or cleaning. Great bunch of ladies here!
Mert
