Subject: patriotic poem request

I'm looking for an encouraging poem for someone getting deployed. She is a single mom of 4. Has no one to take the kiddos in so my husband and I offered. So we are getting the house ready. I know she will be down and wanted to give her a little sweet card.

I'm not a poet either. But just wanted to say that is so nice of you and your DH to take in her kids. You have several yourself ~ don't you? How long will she be deployed?

Yep, I have 4 of my own. The 4 we will be getting are close to my kids ages so that makes it easier. It's going to be challenging but if anything ever happened to my husband or myself, I'd hope someone would do for us too like that. She will be gone for 15 months.
Right now we are teaching our oldest to drive and when we get the others, 2 more will be driving. That is pretty scarey, you know. Boy, oh boy, thank goodness the law is to keep the temp license for 9 months before the real one!!!!!!!! We are a very active family with sports and crafting ect. Kids are in everything so I'm sure by keeping them busy, they'll stay out of trouble and be alittle easier not worrying about mom.
Periodically on holidays and possibly monthly, we'll be asking for a poem for each of our boxes we'll be sending to her. I know when my husband was gone, he loved mail!!!
